DPWH FINISHES ROAD PROJECT IN DINGLE, ILOILO

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has delivered the completion of a concrete road to provide a more reliable and secure transportation network in the municipality of Dingle, Iloilo.

Stretching 1.23 kilometers from Barangay Agsalanan to Barangay Potolan, the road project involves construction of portland concrete cement pavement, extension of existing pipe culverts, and road shoulder.

“The concrete road will ensure easier access for farmers and residents in delivering their products to nearby markets.”

Citing a report from Iloilo 2nd District Engineer Allan Rey Pajimna, DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie Bueno said that the concrete road will ensure easier access for farmers and residents in delivering their products to nearby markets.

“With the new and improved road, local communities can expect better access to basic services as well as the needed boost in tourism and economic growth,” Bueno said.

The road project was undertaken by DPWH Iloilo 2nd District Engineering Office in the amount of P6.9 million funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
