DPWH FINISHES ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE ROAD PROJECT

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the concrete paving of 2.8-kilometers of a road in Panganuran, Zamboanga del Norte.

DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado disclosed that the paved Siocon – Sirawai – Sibuco – Limpapa Road now facilitates faster and more convenient transport of goods and services for the residents going to and from the town proper.

With a total project cost of P83.6 million, the project implemented by DPWH Zamboanga del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office also involves excavation, stone masonry, grouted riprap, and reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings.

Meanwhile, DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia also reported the completion of the 12-meter road with slips and slope protection along Sindangan-Liloy Road provides a safer road network for tourists visiting Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

“Rest assured that DPWH Region 9 is fast-tracking the completion of more infrastructure projects in line with our mandate to provide faster travel and protect lives and structures from national disasters,” Mercado stressed.
