DPWH FINISHES ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY TOWN ROAD

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concreting of a road benefiting farmers in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said that the newly-paved road reduces travel time to only 15 to 20 minutes, facilitating ease of transport of agricultural goods to nearby markets.

Stretching from Barangay Kauswagan to Barangay Gaulan, the 6.6-kilometer road project is beneficial to local communities, especially rubber and coconut farmers.

“By facilitating the ease of transport of their products to local markets, the government has demonstrated its commitment to promoting and fostering the interests of the local coconut and rubber industries.”
