DPWH OPENS REPAIRED QUIRINO TOWN ROAD

The 1.83-kilometer road rehabilitation project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Nagtipunan, Quirino will provide safer and more convenient travel to and from the town proper.

In her report to DPWH Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Region 2 Director Loreta Malaluan said that the preservation works along Junction Abbag-Nagtipunan-Nueva Vizcaya Road via Dupax aim to improve network connectivity along the busiest thoroughfares in town.

The P59.85 million road improvement project along the three sections of the tertiary road spanning 1.83-kilometers involves the asphalt overlay and installation of road safety markers, construction of a retaining wall, and concrete paving of the shoulder.

Implemented by DPWH Quirino District Engineering Office (DEO), the improvement of Junction Abbag-Nagtipunan-Nueva Vizcaya Road also covers the provision of a road drainage system.

“With this road improvement, motorists and residents can be assured of a better and more accessible route leading to the commercial hub of the town, therefore boosting economic activities in Quirino,” Malaluan added.
