The House of Representatives formally approved the ₱644-billion budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for 2027 after nearly five hours of plenary deliberations.
As part of the agency’s reforms and continuing efforts to promote transparency, Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered that the agency’s 11,000 DPWH projects—all of which underwent strict evaluation prior to inclusion—be posted on the DPWH Transparency Portal for public scrutiny.
