DPWH UPGRADES ROADS IN 2 BATAAN TOWNS

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concrete paving of roads that are now benefiting farming communities in the towns of Hermosa and Samal, Bataan.

DPWH District Engineer Erlindo Flores, in his report to Secretary Manuel Bonoan, identified the completed project as the newly-paved 747-meter road in Sitio Lambang in Barangay Mabiga, Hermosa, Bataan.

With an allocation of P10 million, the concrete road with drainage component has reduced the travel time to the town proper of Hermosa.

The P4.9-million road in Sitio Guiso, Barangay Palili, Samal will provide farmers safer access to transporting various goods and necessities to major markets.

Another completed project is the 453.20 linear meter road in Sitio Guiso, Barangay Palili, Samal which was constructed in the amount of P4.95 million to provide farmers safer access to transporting various goods and necessities to major markets.

Implemented under the Basic Infrastructure Program, the two road projects in Bataan were funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2023 (GAA).

The two road projects will improve food security and lessen poverty in the area.
