DTI, PCCI TO LAUNCH HALAL HUB IN MAKATI CITY

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Makati, unveiled a strategic initiative during the PCCI’s Second General Membership Meeting at the Makati Diamond Residences Legaspi Ballroom.

This new partnership aims to establish a Halal Hub in Makati City and position the Philippines as a pivotal player in the rapidly growing global Halal market.

“This partnership is important in supporting the development and promotion of the Halal industry within the Philippines.“

Secretary Fred Pascual emphasized the significance of this partnership in supporting the development and promotion of the Halal industry within the Philippines.

The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), is designed to enhance the industry’s infrastructure and increase its global market reach.

The envisioned Makati Halal Hub is set to be a central point for innovation and business in the Halal sector, spanning a variety of industries including food production, financial services, and more.

This initiative is expected to provide substantial opportunities for Filipino entrepreneurs and international investors alike, fostering a robust economic ecosystem.

Furthermore, Pascual elaborated on the DTI’s commitment to supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through enhanced competitiveness and streamlined business processes.

This approach includes leveraging technology to adapt to Industry 4.0 and ensuring efficient, entrepreneur-friendly business registrations and operations.

As this partnership progresses, the DTI and PCCI Makati encourage all members and stakeholders to actively engage with their programs, offer feedback, and participate in policy-making efforts to optimize the business environment in Makati and beyond.

The trade chief extended his gratitude to PCCI Makati for their initiative and to all attending members for their dedication to the economic prosperity of the Philippines.
