DUTERTE TO MOTORCYCLE CLUBS : LET YOUR TRAVELS PROVE THAT IT IS MORE FUN IN THE PH

President Rodrigo Duterte is urging members of various motorcycle clubs in the country to let their travels prove that it’s indeed more fun in the Philippines.

“Let the miles that you cover attest that it is indeed more fun in the Philippines we drive down the long path ahead. Let us demonstrate solidarity as we build a more a vibrant and more robust society,” Duterte urged the more than 2,000 participants gathered at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) in this during the 25th National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs in the Philippines (NFMCPs).

The President, who is also a big bike enthusiast, said he “fell in love” with the Philippines when he traveled across the country on his motorcycle.

“One thing is sure for us. We find happiness going around in our motorcycles,” the Chief Executive said as he extended his warm welcome for the enthusiasts who will be in Davao City for the next convention.

“We find happiness going around in motorcycle.”

In his message, he assured the members of the various motorcycle clubs that he “will step down” at the end of his term.

“I’ve been President for so long. This is my third year and my end will come. I don’t know if I am able to survive the three years remaining but God willing, I assure everyone that I will step down at the end of my term,” Duterte said.

“I will step down at the end of my term.” 

He also introduced to the gathered motorcycle enthusiasts the senatorial candidates of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), three of whom — reelectionist JV Ejercito, former Philippine National Police chief Bato dela Rosa and former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go – were present during the convention.

Duterte lauded Dela Rosa for his sincerity while he credited his former aide, Go, for the establishment of Malasakit Centers in the country.

He also announced that together with Ejercito, they will work out the suspension of the Motorcycle Crime Prevention Act.

The President also campaigned for other administration bets, including reelectionist Senator Koko Pimentel III, former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino, Freddie Aguilar, former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Raffy Alunan, reelectionist Senator Sonny Angara, Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, and Dong Mangudadatu.
