ERWIN TULFO BACKS DAVAO ORIENTAL DEV’T PROJECTS

The people of Davao Oriental received excellent news from ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Congressman Erwin Tulfo and Former Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo Teo during their visit to the province recently.

They announced their support for various initiatives, including infrastructure projects, tourism improvements, and social services.

This funding will go a long way in addressing the province’s most pressing needs and ensuring its continued growth and prosperity.

In a firm stance, Tulfo boldly stated, “Rest assured, ladies and gentlemen, kanang mga problema nato sa Davao Oriental, we will do something about it. We will deliver. We will give you what you want.”

Governor Niño Sotero Uy, Jr. expressed his gratitude to the Tulfo siblings for their overwhelming support of his province.

Uy said their assistance will significantly contribute to the progress and development of the province. Despite the loss of the province’s matriarch, the late Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, he feels at ease with the support of partners.

“Through the office of my siblings Senator Raffy Tulfo and Cong. Erwin Tulfo, funding for roads, social welfare, and other critical projects will be poured for Davao Oriental.”

Teo, in her talk with some of the province’s local officials, said that through the office of her siblings Senator Raffy Tulfo and Cong. Erwin Tulfo, funding for roads, social welfare, and other critical projects will be poured for Davao Oriental.

She also mentioned providing scholarships, conducting medical missions that have already begun in some areas in the province, and providing free dialysis, endoscopy, and laboratory testing.

As the former Tourism Secretary, Teo emphasized the need to establish sustainable power and water supply. She noted the frustrating power and water supply problems in many areas of the province, particularly in the first district that need to be urgently addressed.

Despite the challenges, Teo believes that these issues must be resolved to ensure that the constituents can receive the necessary services and support they need.

Tulfo has made a commendable pledge to provide medical assistance to impoverished individuals and allocate funds to bolster the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD initiative, which offers support for livelihoods and the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance for Persons in Crisis Situations (AICS).

These initiatives, coupled with infrastructure and development projects, will collectively contribute to the betterment of the lives and livelihoods of those in need.

The legislator also emphasized the need for roads. The lawmaker urged the local officials to submit their proposals and Program of Works to him, as well as the office of his brother, Senator Raffy.

“The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) fund amounting to P20-30 million will be provided to the province.”

He also shared that the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) fund amounting to P20-30 million will be provided to the province.

In addition to the aforementioned projects, it has been announced that the province will soon acquire one or two 28-seater buses for the use of the provincial government.

Hailing from the Municipality of Manay, Davao Oriental, the Tulfo siblings say they plan to begin their efforts in the first district and eventually extend their assistance to the second district of the province.

Receiving overwhelming gratitude from the people, he expressed that thanking them for performing their jobs should not be necessary. Tulfo stated that the money being used for their work belongs to the public and should, therefore, be returned to them.

During the visit of the guests, Luis Malanyaon, the husband of the late Governor Malanyaon, Mati City Mayor Michelle Rabat, and other local officials of Davao Oriental’s first district were also present to welcome and extend their gratitude to the Tulfo siblings.
