FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD IN SOUTH COTABATO FINISHED

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed a farm-to-market road (FMR) from Junction National Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Sto. Niño to Baranggay Upper Sepaka Surallah, in South Cotabato.

Based on the report of DPWH Regional Office 12 Director Basir Ibrahim to Secretary Manuel Bonoan, the 3.71-kilometer 6.7-meter wide two-lane FMR project involves the construction of reinforced slope protection, 1-meter width paved shoulder, installation of metal guardrails and chevron signs, lined canal, cross drain and thermoplastic pavement markings to ensure public safety.

“The new farm-to-market road will facilitate a more efficient delivery of products, and provide better access to basic services in remote areas.”

The ₱96.5 million project funded under the 2022 GAA was implemented by DPWH South Cotabato 2nd District Engineering Office.
