GO TREATS KIDS FROM QUAKE-HIT NORTH COTABATO WITH DAVAO TOUR

To help ease the trauma caused by the series of earthquakes that shook Cotabato and Davao, Senator Bong Go treated some 200 kids from North Cotabato to a tour of Davao City.

The tour was an earlier promise by Go to the children when he visited North Cotabato on November 22.

During the tour, the children spent the morning at the Davao Crocodile Park, had lunch at the Gaisano Mall and met the senator at the SM Lanang Premier Mall.

“I told them to relax in Davao.”

“This will somehow help ease the trauma caused by the earthquake. I told them to relax in Davao,” the legislator said.

The lawmaker also brought the children inside a popular kids toy store to shop using gift certificates earlier given to each of them.

Social workers and guardians accompanied the children during the tour.

“Since it’s Yuletide season, I also wanted them to feel it and be happy.”

“Since it’s Yuletide season, I also wanted them to feel it and be happy,” the senator said.

Before meeting the children, Go was in Padada, Davao del Sur, to distribute financial and relief assistance to earthquake victims.

He also promised the children in Padada that he would also bring them to Davao City for a tour.

“I’ll bring them here. About 200 children from the five hardest-hit in Davao del Sur,” Go added.

Southern parts of Mindanao were hit by a magnitude 6 quake on October 16, 29 and 31, with hundreds of aftershocks later recorded.

A 6.9-magnitude quake hit neighboring Davao del Sur and in North Cotabato on December 15.
