JAEN CITES 14 FRONTLINERS WHO BEAT COVID – AUSTRIA

Fourteen police officers and medical frontliners who contracted and then recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were given joint appreciation by the municipal government of Jaen, Nueva Ecija, and the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO).

Jaen Mayor Sylvia Austria said that aside from certificates of appreciation, the local government also extended cash incentives to the “survivors” including town police chief Maj. Baltazar Corpuz and Municipal Health Office head Dr. Benny Lopez.

The ACT-CIS partylist also gave them packs of goods, said NEPPO Director Col. Marvin Joe Saro.

“Sa sakripisyo ng ating mga kapulisan at mga medical frontliners dito sa Jaen, binigyan natin sila ng certificate of appreciation at cash (For the sacrifices of our police personnel and medical frontliners here in Jaen, we gave them certificates of appreciation and cash),” Austria said.

Austria acknowledged that frontliners from different offices and agencies have to face the threat of COVID-19 in order to maintain the safety of the people.

“Thank you very much for your help and for your vigilance in maintaining peace in the town of Jaen.”

“Maraming salamat sa inyong tulong, sa inyong pagbabantay para sa katahimikan ng bayan ng Jaen (Thank you very much for your help and for your vigilance in maintaining peace in the town of Jaen),” she said.

Saro meanwhile added that all personnel at the Jaen Police Station who contracted COVID-19 were able to recover, adding that this is a “testament that we can fight COVID.”

“We want to pay tribute and encourage and inspire our police officers that we need to work despite the risk of acquiring the virus.”

“Gusto naming magbigay-pugay at i-encourage at magbigay ng inspirasyon sa ating mga kapulisan na kailangan nating mag-trabaho despite na may danger na magka-virus (We want to pay tribute and encourage and inspire our police officers that we need to work despite the risk of acquiring the virus),” he added.

The Sangguniang Bayan members led by Vice Mayor Luisito Austria also thanked the frontliners
