As a former journalist, the lady governor underscored the value of having young contributors in spreading timely and accurate information, particularly on events such as fire incidents, disasters, tourism activities, and other significant local developments.

She added that the initiative will feature speakers and mentors from the media industry, including Abner Mercado, Jacque Manabat, Michael Delizo, Julius Segovia, and Doland Castro, who are expected to share their expertise on ethical reporting, fieldwork, and news writing.

“Gusto ko magkaroon ng katuwang na mga kabataan na magbabalita sa kanilang mga bayan,” Aragones said.

The initiative is expected to equip young participants with essential journalism skills while promoting responsible and fact-based reporting at the community level.
