LANAO DEL SUR ISOLATION FACILITY NOW OPEN – VILLAR

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently turned over a 60-bed capacity isolation facility in Barangay Matapoli, Marantao, Lanao del Sur to help in slowing down the rate of infection in the province.

According to DPWH Secretary and Isolation Czar Mark Villar, the isolation facility was completed in less than two weeks by the DPWH Lanao del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) in accordance with the design standard prepared by the DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local and National Health Facilities in order to prevent transmission of the virus while providing comfort to the recovering patients.

“The isolation facility was completed in less than two weeks.”

“This new isolation facility, with its own hospital bed, electric fan, and convenience outlet, will accommodate COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms. Restrooms and shower rooms are also provided for female and male patients separately,” Villar said.

“We hope that this facility will be put to good use as we work together in flattening the curve of COVID-19 transmission across the country.”
