LANDBANKING PROJECT BREAKS GROUND IN SARANGANI

Sarangani Governor Rogelio Pacquiao and Mayor Atty. Tessa Constantino led the groundbreaking of the provincial government’s landbanking project in Poblacion, Malungon recently.

Along with the groundbreaking ceremony is the unveiling of the site development plan and its site development map. 

The landbanking project in Purok Pangyan consists of 18.4 hectares of land purchased by the provincial government of Sarangani for its future developmental use. 

“The parcel of land was acquired by the provincial government from the Young Family of Malungon at a reasonable price of P15.6 million.”

According to Provincial Assessor Honneylyne Guilley-Toyogon, the parcel of land was acquired by the provincial government from the Young Family of Malungon at a reasonable price of P15.6 million. 

“This is the fulfillment of our commitment to not just bring public services closer to the people but to do more and give more developments in all aspects,” Pacquiao said. 

Some projects to be put up in the area include the Reformation Center for Children in Conflict with the Law, Reforestation Development Project and Nursery for One Million Trees Project, and a Demonstration Farm. 

Other projects to rise also include a warehouse for the province’s Health and Nutrition Programs, and the governor’s RUEL Pabahay or the Reaching Towards Uplifting and Empowering Life Housing Program. 

The RUEL Pabahay will provide resettlement and relocation to identified displaced families, especially the 18 household beneficiaries in Purok Pangyan affected by the landbanking project. 

“The implementation of these projects will jumpstart the first quarter of 2024.”

Pacquiao expressed his anticipation for the implementation of these projects which according to him will jumpstart the first quarter of 2024.

Constantino also expressed her gratitude to Pacquiao for choosing Malungon to be the first recipient municipality of the landbanking project in the province. 

“On behalf of LGU Malungon, I want to thank the province for your generosity and vision in putting up facilities and projects here in Malungon,” the lady mayor stressed. 

She also assured the governor that the people of Malungon will give their full support to the province, especially to “developmental projects that will improve the quality of life of the people”.
