LAZATIN LEADS ANGELES CITY NUTRITION MONTH

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. remains true to his mission to promote the welfare and health of all Angeleño kids by strengthening existing programs that aim to prioritize them.

Lazatin, together with members of the City Nutrition Office, recently led the house-to-house distribution of Vitamin A supplements to 20 kids from Barangay Sta. Trinidad.

Some 31,056 kids aged 6 to 59 months from the 33 barangays will receive Vitamin A supplements from the city government via house-to-house.

The mayor said that this project, which he had implemented since he took office, has been one of his priority missions for Angeleño kids – to end the fight against nutritional deficiencies and at the same time promote an immunized community. 

“This is part of the city government’s celebration for Nutrition Month with a theme ‘Healthy Diet gawing affordable For All’.”

Aside from the vitamin A supplements, kid-beneficiaries will also receive vitamin C, free facemask, and seedlings.

Also present during the distribution of vitamin A supplements are the members of the City Nutrition Office, headed by Aguila, and Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Rudy Simeon.
