NEGROS OCCIDENTAL GOV’T GIVES P4.3M FOR NUTRITION

The provincial government of Negros Occidental led the ceremonial distribution of financial assistance worth P4,334,400 to the barangays of the Municipality of Cauayan, for the implementation of the Community-based Nutrition Program.

The activity was held at the Capitol Social in Bacolod City.

The nutrition program aims to provide the development stage nutritional requirements of Negrense children to avoid the negative and irreversible effects of malnutrition.

According to Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, the administration of Governor Bong Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer looks forward to more healthy communities in the whole province through an improved nutrition program.

Last year, the province’s nutrition program started in the towns of Don Salvador Benedicto and Calatrava.

The recipient barangays were Brgys. Tuyom, Lumbia, Sura, Tambad, Mambugsay, Caliling, Linaon, Talacdan, Camindangan, Inayawan, Poblacion, Tiling, Man-uling, Camalanda-an, Abaca, and Molobolo.
