NET 25’S TAGISAN NG GALING WINNERS EARN DESERVED FAME, BRING HOME OVER 4M IN CASH PRIZES

“Realizing dreams, rewarding talent” was what Eagle Broadcasting Corporation’s Net 25 channel did for a group of individuals who showcased their skills and topped the network’s Tagisan ng Galing competition last July 27, 2020.

The singing and dancing contest conferred the Grand Champion award to Jonacris Bandillo, while Power Duo, Edrien Oclarino, the Cosmic Angles and Nicole Francisco bagged the first, second and third runner up spots, respectively. 

“Our artists are well-known around the world.”

The awarding ceremony was held at the Net25 Studio and graced by known local performance artists. Among the distinguished guests was Glicerio B. Santos, Jr., General Auditor of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC).

Contest winners received well over P4 million in cash prizes.

Top winner Badillo, who is also known as the “Legendary Pool Player of Laguna”, thanked the network and fans who voted online for his achievement. He received P2 million and 34.15% from the public’s SMS and online votes.

“Unang-una gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa Panginoong Diyos. Siya  po ang nagkaloob sa akin ng ganitong talent at minarapat lang po na ibalik sa Kaniya ang kapurihan at tagumpay.”

“Tagisan ng Galing can be a breeding ground for those who may not have the opportunity to showcase their unique skills.”

He added: “Gusto ko din pong magpasalamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sa akin at sa kapwa kong contestants, pati na rin sa mga hurado. Sa lahat po ng bumubuo ng Tagisan ng Galing, sa Ka Jun Santos po, Sa lahat po ng mga viewers, sa bumoto sa aming lahat, maraming, maraming salamat po.”

Power Duo, the “Amazing Couple from Rizal”, brought home P1.5 Million and garnered a score of 18.02% while Edrien Oclarino, the “Captivating Guitarist from Cavite” obtained 17.64% nods and was awarded P1 million.

The other winners were given P100,000 in consolation prizes and opportunities to guest in NET25’s musical programs including Himig Ng Lahi.

“We will continue to search for, encourage, and develop local Filipino talent. Our artists are well-known around the world and our Tagisan ng Galing can be a breeding ground for those who may not have the opportunity otherwise to showcase their unique skills,” Santos, Jr. noted.
