Emerging alternative media giant NET25 has built its weekday news operation on a platform that most television networks treat as an afterthought: radio.
The network still strongly considers the reach and relevance of radio, especially in areas outside of Metro Manila and in the provinces where dissemination of news and information over the airwaves remains crucial.
Instead of treating its AM station as a sideline, the network places Radyo Agila DZEC 1062 at the center of the schedule, simulcasting five of the station’s programs on NET25 television every weekday for more than seven hours of the broadcast day.
The day begins at 5am with Siyento Por Siyento, hosted by radio veterans Nelson Lubao and Gen Subardiaga, and the same pair returns at 5pm with Sa Ganang Mamamayan.
Vic Somintac takes the 7am hour with Isyu ng Sambayanan, and from 8 to 10am Pat-P Daza and Rikki Mathay host Ano Sa Palagay N’yo?, likewise simulcast on TV.
The 10am slot changes with the day: Usapang Pagbabago with Glenn Gatus and Laila Tumanan from Monday to Friday, except Wednesday, which belongs to Usapang Matino with Atty. Rowena Guanzon.
Mata ng Agila sa Tanghali with Gianna Llanes brings the noon news, followed by Gitara with Cassandra Castro, Diskusyon at 2pm and Status with Glenn Gatus at 3pm.
Alex Santos hosts Responde sa Radyo at 4pm and anchors Mata ng Agila Primetime with Ali Sotto at 6pm. Dr. Erwin Torres follows with Basta Natural at 7:30pm, and Eagle Night Watch with Edward Castañeda takes the late evening.
The numbers show which programs travel farthest online. On the NET25 News and Information YouTube channel, with 1.1 million subscribers, Sa Ganang Mamamayan draws 52,000 to 72,000 views per weekday stream this September and reached as high as 191,000 per stream in June 2026, at the height of the impeachment build-up. Siyento Por Siyento draws 34,000 to 39,000 a morning.
The standout radio original is Usapang Matino. A once-a-week program, it posted a February 25, 2026 episode that has drawn 948,000 views and a clip on the AMLC and impeachment controversy at 558,000, while its ordinary Wednesday streams run 39,000 to 43,000, on par with Siyento Por Siyento.
The radio-only programs serve a second audience on the Radyo Agila YouTube channel, with 67,100 subscribers, where Isyu ng Sambayanan, Kapitbahay and Responde sa Radyo stream daily on top of the AM listenership that no view counter captures.
On the purely music front, Eagle FM 95.5 gives every weekday its own soundtrack: Anything 80’s on Monday, Essential 90’s on Tuesday, Wasakan Wednesday for OPM and Pinoy rock, 2K Thursday and Rakrakan Friday. John Lemon carries the mornings, Dear Peachy the late mornings and DJ Gem the drive time, including the live band sessions of Wasakan Wednesday.
Through this lineup, NET25 makes a conscious effort to treat radio not as a legacy platform but as the spine of its news and public affairs, as well as the home of its music identity.
Radyo Agila and Eagle FM 95.5 both stream live on the NET25.com portal, and the simulcast programs are free to view on Digital Free TV Channel 28 and Analog Free TV Channel 25 as well.
Dawn. Noon. Primetime. NET25 continues to affirm its role as the “alternative mainstream” in Philippine broadcasting through a radio operation that is conscious about the listeners and viewers it serves, carrying the same trusted voices from the AM band to the television screen to the device or smartphone.
