PADILLA PRAYS FOR END TO ISRAEL-HAMAS CONFLICT

Senator Robin Padilla prayed for a permanent end to the Israel-Hamas conflict, lest it worsen and directly affect the Filipino people.

In his prayer at the start of one of the Senate sessions, Padilla said the conflict has affected both young and old people, and regardless of faith – including Muslims, Jews and Christians.

On recent birthday, the senator said he is one with the whole world in praying for the realization of a ceasefire – or “urgent and extended” humanitarian pauses – between Israel and the militant group Hamas, which is stated in Resolution 2712 of the United Nations Security Council.

He said it is “heartbreaking to learn of what is happening to the innocent and defenseless victims of war, especially the children and the youth,” noting even hospitals and refugee centers are not spared from the offensives.
