Undeterred by rain, Laguna Governor Sol Aragones brought the Provincial Government’s Pantry program to Sitio Magalolon, Barangay San Antonio in Kalayaan town, delivering free chicken and fresh vegetables to thousands of residents.
The activity further expands the provincial government’s reach, bringing direct assistance even to far-flung communities across the province.
Joining Aragones during the distribution were Provincial Administrator Atty. Nathalie Irene Velasquez, Provincial Public Affairs Office Head Luibic Jacob, and local officials of Barangay San Antonio and the municipality of Kalayaan.
The lady governor assured every resident in attendance that the program is designed to benefit all Lagunenses — from the nearest town to the farthest barangay.

Aragones emphasized that the goods distributed are sourced directly from local poultry and vegetable farmers in Laguna — meaning the program helps not just the families receiving assistance, but also the province’s food producers and industry partners. So far, the Laguna Pantry has also provided free pork, fish, vegetables, and poultry — all grown or produced within the province.

Residents of Barangay San Antonio expressed gratitude to the Provincial Government, commending the administration for turning plans into concrete action — and for bringing services directly to the people instead of waiting for them to come to the Capitol.
“I especially want those who have been left out of assistance to feel that they do not need to go looking for the Governor — because I will personally come to your barangay,” Aragones said, reaffirming her commitment to ensure no Lagunense is left behind.
