PCSO: MORE HELP FOR CHILDREN, VULNERABLE IN 2024

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Junie E. Cua vowed to collaborate with more institutions focused on the welfare of vulnerable children in the coming year.

“There are many institutions catering to our vulnerable sectors, particularly children, who need support. Makakaasa po ang mga kababayan natin na sa susunod na taon ay tututukan natin ang mga ito,” Cua said.

In 2022, the PCSO assisted 62 institutions for a total amount of P28.3 million.

Cua recently visited the Philippines’ first SOS Children’s Village in Lipa, Batangas.

During the said visit, he also expressed his commitment to collaborative projects supporting the organization’s children-focused programs.

SOS Children’s Villages is an international, non-governmental organization focused on supporting children without parental care as well as families at risk.

Cua highlighted the role that the PCSO’s Institutional Partnership Program (IPP) can play in helping children and other vulnerable sectors.

“We are able to assist and support various welfare institutions and charitable medical facilities across the country through the IPP. Pipilitin po natin na mas marami pa ang makinabang na organisasyon dito upang madagdagan din ang mga batang naaalagaan natin,” said the Chairman.

Through the IPP, the PCSO grants P300,000 to qualified organizations to help finance charity services to poor and marginalized sectors in local communities.
