The Philippine Red Cross held a necrological service in loving memory of Quirino Governor Dakila Carlo “Dax” Cua, honoring his life, public service, and years of support for the humanitarian organization.
Cua served as a member of the PRC Board of Governors for 18 years since 2008.
During his tenure, the governor stood with the organization in its mission to save lives, serve communities, and strengthen humanitarian action.
“The sudden passing of Gov. Dakila Carlo ‘Dax’ Cua is a heartbreaking loss,” PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon said.
“Dax had so much promise and so much more to give, yet in the time he was given, he accomplished so much and touched many lives through his service to his people and the Philippine Red Cross,” Gordon added.
In Quirino, Cua was a steadfast supporter of the PRC Chapter, backing its humanitarian programs and community initiatives.
“He accomplished so much and touched many lives through his service to his people and the Philippine Red Cross.”
He regularly supported the Color Quirino Fun Run, bloodletting activities during the Quirino Fiesta, and an annual bloodletting activity on his birthday.
Cua also helped fund a vehicle to strengthen the Chapter’s operations and capacity to serve communities.

During the necrological service, the PRC presented a Resolution of Profound Sympathy and Condolences to the Cua family, recognizing the loss of a longtime member of the PRC family.
“Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Rest in peace, Dax. You will be deeply missed,” Gordon concluded.
