Laguna Governor Sol Aragones joined local officials, Philippine Red Cross representatives, and community leaders during the blessing and official opening of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Laguna Chapter–Siniloan Branch in Siniloan, Laguna, bringing improved access to emergency health and blood services closer to residents.
The newly inaugurated facility was made possible through the continued support of PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon, the initiative of former Congressman Jam Agarao in pursuing the construction of the building, and the contribution of the Local Government Unit of Siniloan under Mayor Patrick Go, which provided the land where the facility now stands.
“The Philippine Red Cross has a vital role in saving lives and responding to emergencies.”
“Dahil ang katumbas ng dugo ay buhay, marami nang buhay ang naisalba,” Aragones said, emphasizing the importance of accessible blood services and the vital role of the Philippine Red Cross in saving lives and responding to emergencies.
The new branch is expected to strengthen the delivery of humanitarian assistance, blood services, disaster response, and other essential health programs in the municipality and neighboring communities.
“Thank you PRC chair Dick Gordon for your organization’s continued commitment to providing lifesaving services to Filipinos.”
During the ceremony, the lady governor expressed her gratitude to Gordon for the organization’s continued commitment to providing lifesaving services to Filipinos.
She also recognized the efforts of Agarao and the support of the Siniloan local government in helping bring the project to fruition.
With the opening of the new branch, residents can now access Red Cross services more efficiently, further enhancing healthcare preparedness and humanitarian response in the municipality and nearby communities.
