PhilHealth Regional Office (PRO) XII continues to sustain the steady implementation of Universal Health Care (UHC) in South Cotabato with the release of the second tranche of Frontload Capitation Fund for Primary Care Provider Network (PCPN) in the province amounting to P87,418,340.
This is in addition to the initial capitation of P53 million turned over in October 2023 by PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. himself.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. expressed his gratitude to PhilHealth especially the support of PRO XII under the leadership of Regional Vice President, Dr. Hector Zenon Leonardo Malate.

The governor highlighted that the PCPN paved the way in utilizing the Special Health Fund that is of vital importance in implementing the Universal Health Care program in South Cotabato.
He also recognized PRO XII’s efforts that led to the selection of the South Cotabato PCPN as one of UHC’s sandbox sites, as well as President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s commitment to advance the nation’s health programs. Therefore, allowing primary care services readily available in the province.

For their part, South Cotabato vowed to deliver quality health care services to the local population, including primary care benefit packages under PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama or Konsulta which provides members with coverage for medical consultations, laboratory exams, and medicines for select conditions, among others.
Through the PCPN, the people of South Cotabato are assured of efficient delivery of health services based on their needs, which spans from primary care to referral services, and much more.
