PNP CARPARK AN INITIATIVE OF BATO DELA ROSA – BANAC

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Gen. Oscar Albayalde and Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar recently led the ground-breaking rites for a five-story multipurpose carpark building which will soon rise inside Camp Crame.

The parking facility, located at the northwest corner of the PNP headquarters, is expected to solve parking woes of personnel and PNP clients transacting business inside the country’s main police camp.

PNP Engineering Service director, Brig. Gen. Elmer Cabreros, said the building was designed by the DPWH Bureau of Design, while cost estimates were provided by the DPWH Bureau of Construction. The contract to build the structure was awarded to R.U. Aquino Construction.

“The building was designed by the DPWH Bureau of Design.”

PNP Spokesperson, Col. Bernard Banac, said the project is a product of a DPWH-PNP partnership through the initiative of then PNP chief Bato dela Rosa which was funded under the DPWH 2018 General Appropriations Act at a contract price of P267,896,023.

The building will have a total floor area of 11,750 square meters, can accommodate 176 parking slots, 12 multipurpose function halls, a drivers’ lounge, concessionaire spaces, pavilion and roof deck, 32 comfort rooms; a vehicle ramp, four ground floor PWD ramps, two passenger elevators, three staircases and an administration office.
