POULTRY PROCESSING PLANT BREAKS GROUND IN BOHOL

The Provincial Government of Bohol joined the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bohol Poultry Dressing and Processing Plant in Barangay Catugasan, Lila town.

Governor Aris Aumentado led the activity together with Board Member Tita Baja, Lila Mayor Arturo Piollo II, Chief of Staff Atty. Filipina Asoy-Piollo, and Catugasan Punong Barangay Rogelio Cagaanan Jr.

The facility will have a processing capacity of 50,000 to 60,000 chickens daily and will include cold and dry storage facilities.

Developed through the investment of San Miguel Foods, Inc., the facility will have a processing capacity of 50,000 to 60,000 chickens daily and will include cold and dry storage facilities, providing critical infrastructure to strengthen Bohol’s poultry industry.

“The project is expected to create economic opportunities in Lila and neighboring municipalities while supporting local poultry farmers and expanding market access,” Aumentado said.

Also present during the groundbreaking ceremony were municipal and barangay officials, representatives from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Public Works and Highways, owners and investors of Bohol Poultry Dressing and Processing Plant, and officials of San Miguel Foods, Inc.
