PRC OPENS 1ST BAKUNA CENTER IN MINDANAO – GORDON

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) opened its first Bakuna Center in Mindanao at the Lanao Chung Hua School via the PRC Iligan Chapter.

The Bakuna Center vaccinated 244 individuals during its first day of operations and plans to vaccinate 694 individuals from the A3 and A4 priority groups.

The Department of Health granted accreditation to PRC Bakuna Center in Lanao Chung Hua School (COVID-19 Bakuna Center No. 07990) this July.

“Our goal is to vaccinate as many as we can.”

“The Red Cross will be there where we are needed. Our goal is to vaccinate as many as we can, especially now that our country now has lower vaccine hesitancy,” PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon said.

“We want to protect every Filipino from COVID-19,” Gordon added.

Red Cross staff and volunteers plan to administer privately procured 1,390 doses of the Sinovac vaccine in the coming weeks.

The Bakuna Center is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday.
