PRIMEWATER LINGAYEN: “KAISA SA PAGBANGON”

PrimeWater Lingayen, in collaboration with the Lingayen Water District and Crystal Clear, extended a helping hand to the families in Lingayen, Pangasinan who were affected by the recent Habagat and Tropical Depression Josie. Five-gallon bottled mineral waters and potable water supply through a water truck were donated and delivered to over 300 families in three (3) areas: Brgy. Lasip Evacuation Center, Basing Evacuation Center, and the Capandanan Barangay Hall. People immediately piled up in line as the waters were distributed.

After the tumult of the Habagat and the recent consecutive typhoons Henry, Inday, and Josie that hit most parts of Luzon these past weeks of July, many families were left with nothing but the wilderness of their surroundings. The Province of Pangasinan is one of the most severely hit areas, where lots of families spent days in different evacuation centers and temporary relocation sites with no security of their food and water. Moreover, most areas lost supply of electricity and water due to the damages brought about by the aforementioned tempests.

“Kaisa sa pagbangon,” is the heart of such relief operations, as employees from both PrimeWater Lingayen and LIWAD and representatives from PrimeWater’s central office and other branches helped in delivering such basic need to the people who are in such dire condition. “Pagbangon” indeed is what the situation has become because the families were resilient to face it with laughter and positivity, joking here and there, and some even get to request for a candid selfie.

PrimeWater Lingayen, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, is enthusiastic that with the help of everyone, these affected families will be able to cope up and face a new tomorrow head up high with a smile.
