QC’S DISTRICT 2 GETS NEW SCHOOL BUILDING

Officials led by Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo and her husband District 2 Councilor Winnie Castelo recently inaugurated a new school building at the MLQ Elementary School in Barangay Commonwealth.

They were joined by Natividad Nacino, school principal, teachers, members of the Parents-Teachers Association, and barangay officers.

“That is the problem most students on home education are encountering. The ideal is still classroom learning.”

Councilor Castelo said the completion of the school building is in preparation for face-to-face classes, should the government’s pandemic response task force allow it soon.

In the meantime, he said it could be used by students as an “education hub” where pupils could study there socially distanced apart especially if their homes are conducive for studying.

“That is the problem most students on home education are encountering. The ideal is still classroom learning,” he said.

He added that the new three-story building has 16 classrooms.
