SAMAR GOVERNOR NOW POLICE ADVISORY GROUP CHAIR

Samar Governor Sharee Ann Tan took oath as the Chairperson of the Samar Police Provincial Office (SPPO) Provincial Advisory Group for Transformation and Development (PAGPTD) at the Governor’s Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, Catbalogan City.

In her message of support, Tan shared her enthusiasm to work with the team in furtherance of the programs and projects not only of the Province of Samar and the SPPO, but of the advisory group itself.

“I know this group will hasten the programs and projects as far as peace and order is concerned.”



“I know this group will hasten the programs and projects as far as peace and order is concerned.  We will be part of the solution that will sustain the gains of peace,” the lady governor said.

“As to our activities, we want something that is dynamic. Let us implement programs that will be felt by the community,” she added.

Meanwhile, Samar 1st District Representative Stephen James Tan, and 2nd District Representative Reynolds Michael Tan, swore in as members of the advisory group through a virtual oath taking ceremony. Both Congressmen will represent the House of Representatives.

Cong. Stephen James Tan shared that he is honored to be a part of the group.

“I am excited and optimistic as to what I can contribute towards better service and program implementation to maintain the peace and order in the province,” he said.

“As stakeholders, we are instrumental in encouraging institutions of the government to be better performers.”



On the other hand, Cong. Reynolds Michael Tan, former PAGPTD Chairperson, expressed his delight to still be a part of the body to which he shared, “As stakeholders, we are instrumental in encouraging institutions of the government to be better performers. We will all work together for our development agenda.”

SPPO Provincial Director Peter Limbauan, gladly welcomed the new members of the advisory group.

“There is a commendable factor that have not been tarnished through time, the volunteerism and commitment of our members of the Provincial Advisory Group. We thank them for their support as we take this serious step towards police transformation and development,” the provincial director said.

The PAGPTD assumes an advisory role on the programs, projects, and activities of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Members likewise assist in identifying key issues and provide strategic advice consistent with the PNP’s policies, plans and programs cognizant of the political, social, economic, cultural and moral development needs of the community and the PNP.
