SOKOR GIVES RED CROSS P10-M DONATION FOR TAAL ERUPTION EVACUEES – GORDON

South Korea has donated $200,000 (or approximately P10 million) to the Philippines for the 45,000 evacuees displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Korean Ambassador Han Dong-man handed the check to Senator Dick Gordon, chairman of the Philippine Red Cross at the PRC Tower in Mandaluyong City.

“The money is South Korea’s humanitarian assistance for affected individuals of the Taal Volcano eruption.”

Thousands of evacuees who fled their homes are currently staying in various shelters in Batangas.
