TAYLOR SWIFT, ED SHEERAN, AND ADELE SET TO BE THE BIGGEST CHARTBUSTERS OF THE YEAR

In case you have not checked the trending topics the past few days, Taylor Swift finally released her second re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version), which gave birth to her creative breakthrough. The album, which contains the once rumored 10-minute version of, as critics hailed, her greatest song, ‘All Too Well‘, trended three consecutive days before its release and two more days later. Just hours after the album’s release, Taylor dropped All Too Well (The Short Film) on YouTube, which broke records as it garnered 14 million views within 24 hours. Talk about a blockbuster hit!

Red (Taylor’s Version) is set to enter the Billboard 200 chart next week, debuting at No. 1, something she knows how to pull off all too well. With this, Taylor Swift is positioned to become the fastest female artist to rack up ten No.1 albums in the history of US charts.

Equals, Ed Sheeran

But it wasn’t just the Swifties who celebrated the highly-anticipated album from Tay Tay’s vault. Ahead of her, Ed Sheeran also released (=) Equals, the penultimate album of his math-themed series since the release of (+) Plus over a decade ago. Now, there is one more math symbol left to close out this geeky master plan of Ed Sheeran. Equals debuted at No. 1, which scored him his fourth No. 1 in Billboard 200. He currently holds two songs from the album on the leaderboard of the music chart with Shivers at No. 5 and Bad Habits, which peaked at No. 2, currently at No. 4. Equals album is now at #4 after falling from the top spot.

30, Adele

Despite releasing her single ahead of the two juggernaut artists, Adele is unfazed, with Easy On Me comfortably sitting at No. 1 in the Hot 100 charts. Her comeback album 30 is expected to demolish the charts upon its release on November 19.

After her six-year hiatus, on November 14, Adele took the spotlight once again with Adele: One Night Only, which was aired on CBS. She also performed her other chart-topping hits along with Easy On Me—definitely a comeback worth the wait! During her show, Adele also helped a fan pop the question before singing Make You Feel My Love.

What songs did you listen to from these three artists? We recommend you to listen to Overpass Graffiti from Equals, State of Grace (Acoustic Version), and Nothing New from Red (Taylor’s Version), and well, the ever-reliable tearjerker Adele’s new single Easy On Me
