TOLENTINO TO BULAKENYO YOUTH: DREAM BIG, HELP YOUR PROVINCE

The provincial government of Bulacan is investing in the future of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials by giving them training courses that would help them become better leaders in the coming years.

During the “Tomorrow Global Leaders’ Camp Bulacan Youth Fellowship”, held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, former presidential adviser on political affairs Francis Tolentino, the event’s guest speaker, said Bulakenyo youth are fortunate to be living in a progressive province that has been receiving awards and citations.

“Bulakenyo youth are fortunate to be living in a progressive province.”

Tolentino encouraged the youth at the fellowship to dream big and to have the desire to help their province.

“If you have a dream in your life, make it two. If you want to be a good doctor, then add more dreams to develop Bulacan,” he said.

Meanwhile, Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado underscored the significant role the youth play in nation-building.

“You are the most brilliant image of our efforts to improve the well-being of our motherland. By dedicating your lives to meaningful pursuits, you can be considered as rocks that make up a unique edifice. We hope that through this work, you will further strengthen your leadership skills so that ultimately, you can use both community service and the community,” the governor said.

During the program, Alvarado and International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Philippines president Kyung Hyun Nam signed a memorandum of understanding on being partners in conducting projects regarding youth development in Bulacan.

“You are the most brilliant image of our efforts to improve the well-being of our motherland.”

In relation to this, Dr. Gyu Yeun Cho, Russian regional director of the International Mind Education Institute, gave three mind education lectures about bringing change and being a youth leader with a heart.

Senator Joseph Victor Ejercito and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos were also present to support the event.
