TRAINING CENTER TO RISE IN TUBOD, LANAO DEL NORTE

Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo led the groundbreaking for the reconstruction of the Macapagal Training Center (MTC) situated in the Provincial Capitol Compound, Pigcarangan, Tubod town.

This is a P30M worth of project funded under the capital outlay of the Provincial Governor’s office.

“Based on the recommendation of Provincial Architect and Engineer that it is better to rebuild the old Macapagal Training Center rather than keep on repairing it because eventually, it can come out cheaper and we can save more,” Quibranza-Dimaporo said.

The Macapagal Training Center is one of the oldest buildings in the Provincial Capitol Compound.

The MTC was one of the oldest buildings in the Provincial Capitol Compound that was build back in the time of the late former Governor Arsenio Quibranza. 

It has been a venue for many trainings, meetings, seminars, and other functions of the Provincial Government, which provided a conducive area for learning.

Present during the blessing and groundbreaking ceremony were Vice Governor Allan Lim, Provincial Administrator Atty. Mark Christopher Babor, former Congressman Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo, PGLDN Department Heads, and the NDP Construction Dev’t, which is the contractor of the said facility.

Further, Babor encouraged the contractor to finish the project at the given period of time.

“It’s in your hands that your complete the project within due time para magamit ni Gov during her term.”

The new MTC is set to be completed by the 2nd quarter of next year.

“May this training center, when completed, serve as the place for learning and innovation where skills are developed and knowledge are shared,” the Vice Governor said.
