UPCAT PASSERS SERVE COUNTRY WELL WHILE STUDYING, GRADUATION – BELARO

Party-list Rep. Salvador Belaro (1-Ang Edukasyon) called on passers of the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) to serve all Filipinos, especially the poor and the marginalized, while studying and after their graduation.

“Keep your astute senses fixed on the plight of the poor, the marginalized, the working middle class, and the entrepreneurs because they are the lifeblood of our country,” Belaro said.

“While studying and after graduating, serve all Filipinos, the country well as befits the service motto of the University of the Philippines,” he added.

Belaro (AB’89 cl; LLB’95) is the only University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) awardee in 2018 from among the Members of Congress. He is also a UPAA honoree for public service and good governance.

“Keep your astute senses fixed on the plight of the poor, the marginalized.”

Belaro also challenged the UPCAT passers to “do their share to make sure evil is repelled.”

“Help fight corruption, apathy, and falsehoods,” he said.

“Do your share to make sure evil is repelled. Push darkness back to the oblivion from which it came,” Belaro added.
