WIDENED CABADBARAN BRIDGE TO OPEN BEFORE YEAR-END

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is undertaking the widening of Cabadbaran Bridge along the Surigao-Agusan Section of Daang Maharlika in Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte to address the bottleneck of traffic at the existing bridge.

“We have to ensure that mobility in our national highways is not hindered especially during emergency situations,” Secretary Mark Villar said.

“The additional two-lane bridge will ease traffic in the area and provide faster mobility of people, goods, and services.”

Implemented by DPWH Regional Office 13, the project involves slab and sidewalk and bridge approaches with steel railings and lights powered by solar panels.

Efforts to remove obstructions are fast-tracked in order to proceed with civil works and prevent further delays.

The people of Cabadbaran City have expressed gratitude for the new bridge and are anticipating its completion which is targeted before the end of 2021.
