ERWIN TULFO DONATES 2 PATROL CARS TO IWAHIG PRISON

Senator Erwin Tulfo, represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff Francis Tulfo, turned over two patrol cars to the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

A staunch advocate for improving correctional facilities in the Philippines, Tulfo provided these patrol vehicles to complement the efforts of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) in fulfilling its mandate.

Whether it is through passing new laws or giving actual solutions like these transport vehicles, we are always here for you.

“Please know that our work does not end here. Whether it is through passing new laws or giving actual solutions like these transport vehicles, we are always here for you,” the legislator’s deputy chief of Staff said.

“As part of the government, it is our duty to help BuCor achieve its goals and mission,” he added

Last April, the lawmaker graced the groundbreaking of the new 10-hectare prison facility in Iwahig.

During the event, the senator expressed his concern that managing a larger facility might place an extra burden on BuCor personnel.

“We need to ensure that all bases are covered, including the mobility of personnel.”

“It is expected that more PDLs (Persons Deprived of Liberty) will be placed here. We need to ensure that all bases are covered, including the mobility of personnel, for the safety of the communities around Iwahig and the fulfillment of BuCor’s mandate,” he concluded.
