Laguna Governor Sol Aragones continued the expansion of the Provincial Government’s Laguna Pantry program by personally leading the distribution of free pork and fresh vegetables to residents of the municipalities of Luisiana and Liliw recently.
The initiative forms part of the provincial government’s continuing food assistance program aimed at helping families while strengthening support for local agricultural producers.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Aragones assured residents that everyone in attendance would receive food assistance.
“Lahat po kayo na andito ngayon, makatatanggap. Bawal umuwi ang walang bitbit na karne at gulay,” the lady governor said during her message.
Beyond providing immediate relief to families, the Laguna Pantry also serves as a livelihood support initiative by sourcing fresh vegetables and pork directly from local farmers and hog raisers across the province.
“Ito po ay binili natin sa mga magsasaka at mga nag-aalaga ng baboy dito sa lalawigan ng Laguna para matulungan natin sila.”
