DOH TO HELP PALAWAN UPGRADE EL NIDO HOSPITAL

Department of Health Officer-in-Charge Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire, along with Field Implementation and Coordination Team for NCR and South Luzon (FICT) Assistant Secretary Dr. Gloria Balboa and MIMAROPA Assistant Regional Director Vilma Diez, visited the El Nido Community Hospital (ENCH) in Palawan as part of the hospital rounds in the municipality.

The visit opened the talks for the hospital’s targeted upgrade to a Level One hospital.

Vergeire expressed support in the provision of additional equipment for the hospital’s facilities, as well as the upgrading and maintenance of laboratories and operating rooms.

Further, the DOH OIC sought for the local government of Palawan’s assistance in incrementing the number of Human Resources for Health (HRH) which include deployment of doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists, and other health professionals as indispensable human faculties in the attainment of Universal Health Care.

“Nagpapasalamat ang Kagawaran sa munisipalidad ng El Nido dahil sa kanilang aktibong pagkilos upang mabigyan ng de-kalidad na serbisyong medikal ang mga Palaweño.”

“Nagpapasalamat ang Kagawaran sa munisipalidad ng El Nido dahil sa kanilang aktibong pagkilos upang mabigyan ng de-kalidad na serbisyong medikal ang mga Palaweño. We pledge to support the Palawan LGU in this endeavor,” the health chief said.

“Malaki ang papel na ginagampanan ng ating mga local health facilities sa layuning gawing abot-kamay sa lahat ng Pilipino saan mang sulok ng bansa ang mga serbisyong medikal na ito kaya’t tayo’y patuloy na tutulong sa abot ng ating makakaya sa Kagawaran,” she concluded.
