FACE MASK WEARING STILL OPTIONAL IN BULACAN

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando clarified that there is no need to panic as the number of COVID-19 cases in the province is still at low to minimal risk classification and the province is under Alert Level 1, the lowest classification there is, for the past months.

The Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) recently reported 37 fresh cases and 13 late cases, while 110 cases were recorded by the Provincial Health Office-Public Health. In addition, 94% of the 355 active cases are asymptomatic, and only 6% are severe cases.

Although wearing a face mask is now optional, the governor still encourages the Bulakenyos to follow the basic health protocol especially when in places with improper ventilation and when outdoors.

He also highlighted the need for up to two COVID booster shots because it is the key to halt the spread of COVID-19.

For the schedule of Vaccination on Wheels, Bulakenyos may visit the Facebook page of the Bulacan Provincial COVID-19 Vaccination Site Updates at https://www.facebook.com/bulacanprovincialvaccination.

Aside from this, COVID booster shots are available at health centers and vaccination sites in every municipality and city of the province.
