“The stretch of the Muñoz-Lupao Road in Barangay Agupalo Weste, Lupao town was upgraded through the application of asphalt overlay.”
A total of 4.33-lane-kilometer stretch of the tertiary road now has smoothened surface with installed thermoplastic pavement markings to enhance road safety and offer visual guidance to drivers and other road users.
“Conducting preventive maintenance projects extends the pavement’s lifespan by protecting the existing road from various environmental factors, thus postponing the need for more extensive and costly repairs in the future,” Tolentino said.
The DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the improvements along Muñoz-Lupao Road in the amount of P35.45 million sourced from the DPWH Regular Infrastructure Program under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
