Mayor Jerry Treñas led the kick off of the 100-day countdown for Dinagyang Festival 2024 recently at SM City Iloilo.
Next year’s Dinagyang, with the theme “Pagdayaw kay Señor Sto. Nino, Padayaw sang mga Ilonggo!”, marks the second face-to-face staging of the city’s world-class festival after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his message, Treñas highlighted the resilience and strong faith of the Ilonggos amid many challenges.
“We bring back the honor and glory to our dear Señor Sto. Nino as we continue to be nothing but extremely proud of our resilience.”

He also expressed his appreciation to the steering and working committees from Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc., San Jose Parish Placer, City Government, and other private sector partners like SM City Iloilo for the hard work and commitment to ensure that the next Dinagyang celebration is the grandest and the most creative ever.
