The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) officially launched the ERC Simplify or ERCify, the Commission’s new public-facing digital service platform, during the flag-raising ceremony at the ERC Main Office.
The initiative marks a major step in the Commission’s continuing digital transformation efforts aimed at improving the accessibility, efficiency, and overall stakeholder transactions with the ERC.
The Commission formally deployed the ERCify–Request for Email Registration (ERCify-RER) Module, which will serve as the initial registration and identity verification mechanism for stakeholders accessing the ERCify platform.
As part of the launch, the Commission formally deployed the ERCify–Request for Email Registration (ERCify-RER) Module, which will serve as the initial registration and identity verification mechanism for stakeholders accessing the ERCify platform.
Through the module, stakeholders may register verified email addresses and mobile numbers that will serve as their authenticated digital identities for future ERC transactions and services.
Designed as a single, integrated digital platform, ERCify will gradually consolidate the Commission’s various online systems into one centralized portal, allowing stakeholders to transact with the ERC through one account and a unified digital experience.
In its succeeding phases, the platform will enable the online filing of motions, pleadings, letters, and reportorial requirements, as well as case tracking, receipt of promulgations and notices, and payment of applicable fees. It will ultimately evolve into a mobile-ready application integrated with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s e-GovPH services, supporting the government’s broader digital governance agenda.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Planning and Public Information Service (PPIS) – Management Information Systems Division (MISD), under the leadership of PPIS Director Heiddi Venecia Barrozo and MISD Chief Teofilo Arbalate, Jr.
The development of ERCify forms part of the Commission’s broader commitment to strengthening operational efficiency, transparency, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of more responsive and consumer-centered regulatory services.
During the launch, ERC Chairperson and CEO Atty. Francis Saturnino Juan emphasized the importance of building a more modern and accessible institution capable of meeting the evolving needs of stakeholders and the energy sector.
“A digital platform, at its core, is integrity made operational.”
“Integrity — I cannot think of a more fitting backdrop for what we are doing. A digital platform, at its core, is integrity made operational: the integrity of a stakeholder’s identity, the integrity of an application’s record, and the integrity of a process that not only promises a result but delivers it. ERCify is integrity, encoded,” Juan said.
The ERC reaffirmed its commitment to continuously advancing digital innovation in support of more efficient and accessible public service.
Through ERCify, the Commission aims to promote a more integrated, transparent, and future-ready regulatory environment that better serves stakeholders and the Filipino people.
