HERBOSA LEADS HIV PROGRAM RELAUNCH IN REGION 3

Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teddy Herbosa led the Ceremonial Signing of the Pledge of Commitment and the Relaunching of the HIV Control Program in DOH Hospitals in Region 3 “Healthy Pilipinas: Bawat Buhay Mahalaga!” at the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) Auditorium in Balanga City.

Herbosa, along with FICT Undersecretary Enrique Tayag, Central Luzon Center for Health Development Regional Director Corazon Flores, and other health leaders, made the rounds in the BGHMC facility. 

The event pushed to raise awareness of the significance of comprehensive HIV services within the framework of Universal Health Care (UHC).

The program aims to facilitate networking and collaboration among public and private healthcare facilities and providers in promoting HIV services.

Also, the event intended to promote comprehensive HIV services provided by DOH Hospitals in Region 3 within the framework of Universal Health Care by fostering collaboration among healthcare stakeholders to further improve HIV care and support in the community.

“Let’s take care of our health workers. A multi-faceted approach to HIV control and a robust healthcare system is necessary to achieve our goal of Healthy Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga,” Herbosa ended.

Bataan Provincial Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III, Cong. Albert Raymond Garcia, Cong. Maria Angela Garcia, Cong. Jernie Jett Nisay and other local chief executives also showed their support for improving HIV care. Medical Center Chiefs of DOH hospitals and treatment rehabilitation centers in Central Luzon, chiefs of hospitals of government facilities in Bataan, municipal health officers, and patient support groups were also in attendance.
