LA UNION LGU HAS NEW PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

With a reinvigorated sense of public service in the new year, Governor Rafy Ortega-David led the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) in the conduct of the First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony recently at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, City of San Fernando, La Union highlighting the new year’s opportunity to further upscale the service to the people.

Ortega-David announced that former Governor Pacoy Ortega III is the new Provincial Administrator who will bring his sterling 30 years of public service in introducing sweeping changes in the internal operations of the PGLU with the ultimate goal of improving the services provided to the public.

In her message, the lady governor challenged the employees to uphold utmost prudence, professionalism, and close attention to detail.

“We should work hard for and deserve every reward that we get.”

 “We should work hard for and deserve every reward that we get, and that we do it not for monetary gains, but because this is what we all took an oath for – to be of service to the people,” she said.

The flag-raising ceremony served as an avenue to address concerns of employees highlighting due process.

“All programs, projects, and activities of the PGLU must have three basic requirements including legal basis, available budget, and complete staff work.”

Also present to grace the flag-raising ceremony were Board Member (BM) Cynthia Angelica Bacurnay, BM Victor Rivera, BM Pablo Ortega, and BM Harold Dave Sibuma.

Newly-appointed employees also took their Oath of Office including Rafael Jose Dungan, Susan Alminiana, Murielle Aquino, Josielyn Adap, Auje Russel Sacking, Angelo Umel, Sittie Sahaya Gonting, Angelie Mae Gurion, Reina Prepose, Judge Robert Villanueva, Stephanie Athena Del Rosario, Ily Diane Balanon, Princess Ephyrll Galvez, Joseph John Rivera, Charmie Casuga, Criselda Javier, Mar Sanchez, Dyan Grace Porras, Mildred Norial, Jhoana Mae Nebria, Ciolo Edmar Raquedan, and Francisco Ortega Ricardo.

Retiree Service Awards were also conferred to PGLU employees including Imelda Estillomo, Arnel Nisperos, Manuelilia Bugaoan, Marilou Rimas, Apolinario Peralta, Jr., Rosedilla Marquez, Joel Belleza, Rolando Cabanban, Oscar Verona, Jun Littaua, Rodolfo Segundo, Jr., Carlos Milana, Milagros Estandian, Ma. Lourdes Aboc, Rebecca Bolaoy, and Juan Anor.

An emergency Department Heads meeting followed the activity to ensure that all offices are on board in the united efforts to improve how PGLU services are rendered to all KaPROBINSYAnihan.
