NEGROS OCCIDENTAL DISPLACED FAMILIES GET PRC AID

A team of dedicated volunteers and staff from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Negros Occidental-Bacolod City Chapter ventured to Sto. Napilo, Brgy. Quintin Remo located in the town of Moises Padilla.

The PRC went there to provide much-needed aid to the families who were displaced as a result of the on-going clashes between state and non-state armed groups.

“I commend our staff and volunteers in Negros Occidental who are working tirelessly to ensure that the affected families receive the support they need during this challenging time,” said Dick Gordon, Chairman of the Philippine Red Cross.

“PRC volunteers also provided psychological first aid and conducted child-friendly space activities for 50 children currently staying at the evacuation center.”

The PRC team distributed hot meals, face masks, and hygiene kits, ensuring that the affected families had access to essential supplies.
