The Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA) successfully held the Governors’ Leadership Training Summit 2026: Leaping Past Paradigms on July 25, 2026 at Acceler8 Legazpi, Makati City, bringing together student leaders and young professionals to examine the evolving nature of leadership.
The summit centered on leadership as a collaborative practice, encouraging participants to move beyond traditional hierarchical models and embrace approaches grounded in inclusion, empathy, and shared responsibility. Through discussions led by experienced practitioners, attendees explored how inclusive communication, cultural humility, and collaborative decision-making contribute to stronger and more responsive organizations.
Sessions emphasized that effective leadership is built by creating environments where diverse perspectives are valued and individuals are empowered to participate meaningfully. Participants also gained practical insights into fostering cultures of trust, belonging, and shared accountability within their respective institutions.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for student leaders from different schools to exchange experiences, reflect on contemporary leadership challenges, and broaden their perspectives alongside peers.
The conversations throughout Leaping Past Paradigms highlighted an important shift in leadership today: meaningful impact is created not through authority alone, but through collaboration, participation, and the collective pursuit of shared goals.
