Lagunenses are set to benefit from improved healthcare services as Governor Sol Aragones announced the upcoming availability of Free Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services at the Laguna Medical Center, expected to begin operations this August.
In a Facebook Reels announcement, Governor Sol Aragones emphasized the importance of making advanced diagnostic services more accessible to the public, particularly for patients who previously had to travel outside the province and shoulder significant expenses just to undergo MRI scans.
“Sa mahabang panahon kasi, kalat ang paa ng iba nating mga kababayan sa paghahanap ng pambayad sa MRI.”
“Ang katumbas po kasi ng MRI ay buhay ng mga Lagunense. Sa mahabang panahon kasi, kalat ang paa ng iba nating mga kababayan sa paghahanap ng pambayad sa MRI,” Aragones noted.
The introduction of MRI services is expected to greatly ease the financial and logistical burden of patients in Laguna, allowing for faster diagnosis and more efficient medical treatment within the province.
“This initiative is part of its continuing efforts to strengthen public healthcare services and ensure that essential medical technologies are made available to all constituents.”
The provincial government underscored that this initiative is part of its continuing efforts to strengthen public healthcare services and ensure that essential medical technologies are made available to all constituents.
While some critics continue to spread misinformation online, provincial officials reiterated their commitment to focusing on concrete programs that directly benefit the people, including health initiatives such as the Laguna Pantry, Laguna Summer Sports Program, and now the upcoming MRI service at the provincial hospital.
Once operational, the MRI facility is expected to improve early detection of diseases, reduce the need for referrals to distant hospitals, and enhance overall healthcare delivery in Laguna.
