UP Fair 2017: Sabayan Ang Beat Schedule and Lineup of Performances

Be the light in the dark and #SabayanAngBeat this UP Fair 2017!

It is  time again for the biggest student-ran, week-long Original Pinoy Music festival in the Metro. Express yourself while jamming to the beat of your favorite local bands and artists from February 14-18 in UP Sunken Garden, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Here is the schedule and lineup of performances on UP Fair 2017: Sabayan ang Beat:

Mabaya: UP Fair Tuesday

Jam to the beat of your heart this Valentine’s Day in Mabaya: UP Fair Tuesday. Mabaya is a celebration of love and unity within the UP community and other sectors of society. Performers include Ebe Dancel (special stripped down set), Johnoy Danao, Tanya Markova, Autotelic, Capacities, Tom’s Story, The Ridleys, Sound Architects, The Roomhoppers, STLO, TUBAW, Karl Ramirez at and Pordalab, The General Strike, Plagpul, Datu’s Tribe, UP Pep Squad Drummers, Kontra-GaPi, The UP Repertory Company, and Alay Sining.

Acknowledging the struggles to be free, to get a hold of free land for farmers, and to emancipate workers, the University Student Council offers  the night for free for all UP students and employees. Meanwhile, non-UP students may purchase the tickets for only Php50.00 each.

Haraya: UP Fair Wednesday

Haraya, which means imagination, is a celebration of new ideas, aspirations, and youth’s potential. It aims to revive and renew the tradition of UP Fair which includes good company, quality performances, and a spectacular moment of youthfulness. Also, it calls to create spaces for quality education accessible to all.

Set your haraya free through performances from Mindless Pop, December Avenue, Lamb St., Tom’s Story, Modern Romans, Gracenote, Pedicab, Imago, <S>andwich, Moonstar 88, Chicosci, Join The Club, Oh, Flamingo, Ang Bandang Shirley, The Squibs, The Cupcake Alliance, Rayf Panotes, MilesExperince, and Yomi no Kuni.

The concert will take place on February 15 with tickets available at Php80.00 for UP students and Php 120.00 for non-UP students. Haraya is organized by the UP Music Circle.

Elements: UP Fair Thursday

Ride the waves, shake up your senses, breathe happiness, and share the spark in Elements: UP Fair Thursday.  It is a night of exciting music and celebration of OPM with performances from Silent Sanctuary, Sponge Cola, Gloc-9, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, Hale, SUD, Mayonnaise, Aia de Leon, Lunar Lights, Brisom, Monolog, Leanne and Naara, Talata, BennyBunnyBand, Andriod-18, Pop Punk Manila: All-Stars Sunday Radio, Unit 406, STLO, and Blupoint.  Ticket prices are Php 80.00 for UP students and Php 120.00 for non-UP students. Also, you can upsize your Elements experience by purchasing the Elements Bundle for only Php 350.00.  The bundle includes 1 service pass (fast lane), 5 raffle tickets (for a chance to win Meet & Greet of your favorite band), and an Elements shirt of your choice.

Cosmos: UP Fair Friday

Step into the crazy universe with Cosmo the Astronaut and experience an adventure of a lifetime with performances from Rivermaya, Pupil, Sam Concepcion, Hale, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, SUD, Mayonnaise, Jensen and the Flips, The Ransom Collective, Never the Strangers, Absolute Play, Save Me Hollywood, Midnight Meetings, MilesExperience, Soapdish, Sucketseven, Ashley’s Kryptonite, Lola Amour, and BTC. The concert will take place on February 17. Ticket prices are Php 80.00 for UP students and Php 120.00 for non-UP students.

Cosmos advocates freedom of expression regardless of culture, class, or identity. It is organized by the UP Junior Marketing Association.

Roots Music Festival: UP Fair Saturday

Roots Music Festival will conclude the weeklong celebration with performances from Parokya ni Edgar, Gloc-9, Franco, Jensen and The Flips, Ang Bandang Shirley, BP Valenzuela, Apartel, Tom’s Story, Moonwlk, Shirebound and Busking, Tard,  Ashley’s Kryptonite, Pastlina Dong, Sour Cheeks, Wish Sticks, and Nathan Futalan. Ticket prices may vary: Php 80.00 for UP students and Php 120.00 for non-UP students during the pre-selling period and Php 150.00 for the gate price.

Roots Music Festival is organized by the UP Economics Society and UP Underground Music Community.
